The Museum of Civilization in the Ottawa Capital Region is a favorite subject for all the architectural delight in the many curves and layers of the building. This one is shot inside and is a view looking up 'through' the different floor levels. I really like the play of light and dark in this photo. It is the light and dark that gave rise to the poem.

some thoughts will ripple
shedding light
in waves across your body
brighter in places
revealing your moments
of happiness
casting shadows
in times of doubt or pain
when you move towards
the darker light
please
call on me
to lift the veils
i will let in
the healing bright

A wonderful image (quite amazing!) - I like the movement from architecture to rippling thoughts too.

..i like that. Perfect for the image Mario.
Beautifully expressed, Mario. I like thinking about thoughts that ripple...and you never know where the ripples will end!
ReplyDeleteSome thoughts ripple and become beautiful works of art, like your photo and poem. Some become novels. Really like what you saw in the image and allowed to ripple out and touch the rest of us.

The image and the poem complement each other wonderfully. I especially resonate with the closing four lines. Just lovely.
